About The Role

 

APMEX is looking for experienced traders who can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Ideal candidates are the rare individuals who are ambitious,self-motivated, and have an entrepreneurial view of conducting business.  A good mix of bullion product and industry knowledge, an understanding of inventory management, and great analytical skills are the winning combination for success as a Wholesale Trader. 

 

 

A Day in the Life of a Wholesale Trader: 

  • Selling/Sourcing inventory either by utilizing existing relationships or by establishing new relationships with Coin and/or Precious Metals bullion Dealers throughout the United States and internationally

  • Execute targeted calls to Dealers promoting APMEX as a competitive one-stop destination for wholesale sellers/buyers of coin and bullion products

  • Participate in daily email communications with active Dealers conveying current buy prices, commentary, and trends within the industry

  • Supporting customer base via account management tools to proactively follow-up on open transactions

  • Engage in online networks to identify buying opportunities and promote APMEX buying/selling positions

  • Develop and strengthen internal APMEX relationships in order to provide superior service to customers

  • Provide customers with quotes and up-to-date pricing on products

  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner

  • Attend selected industry events such as Coin Shows as assigned

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the precious metals products that APMEX stocks

  • Engage in hedging process to minimize market risk

Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

 

 

Experience:

  • Three or more years of professional experience in the bullion markets and/or the numismatic markets including negotiation and buying/selling of precious metals
  • Interest in and knowledge of precious metals
  • ​Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Possess sharp analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills

  • Must be self-motivated, work well with minimal supervision, and have the ability to use resources provided to make quick and confident decisions

 

Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
