    About The Role

     

    The Process Improvement Analyst is responsible for driving efficiency and quality improvements for the operations team, which is comprised of receiving, quality control, fulfillment, and logistics.  The position will drive improvements through the use of data analytics, process analyses, and setting up the appropriate KPI’s to measure results.

     

    A Day in the Life of a Process Improvement Analyst:

     

    • Utilize analytical, process improvement, and lean tools to identify improvement opportunities, and work with management in identifying implementable solutions
    • Lead the development and implementation of Kaizen events to drive operational improvements from the bottom to the top
    • Assist in implementing 5s principles in order to drive better operational execution
    • Interact with operations’ management and coordinate execution of operational improvement opportunities
    • Document processes for operations and update as necessary
    • Develop analytical tools for the team to allow them to manage their business more efficiently
    • Plan, design and develop models for all facets of operations analyses to include productivity, service, and financial
    • Plan, design, and develop metric reports for data measurements of performance against annual operating plan, and continuous improvement projects
    • Monitor, manage, and distribute existing reports
    • Assist the Operations Management team in using data to identify areas for improvement
    • Assist the Director of Operations in the preparation of annual budget, incorporating sales forecasts, staffing and expenses
    • The Analyst will interact with vendors and others inside APMEX as required

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and/or Engineering required

    Experience:

    • Experience working in a distribution, fulfillment, and/or transportation environment preferred 

    Computer Skills:

    • Expert level Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft PowerPoint
