    About The Role


    The Pt. Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises and personnel. The Security Officer is also responsible for guarding against theft and following security procedures in the Secure Area.


    A day in the Life of a Pt. Security Officer:


    • Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
    • Guard against theft and maintain security of premises
    • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
    • Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as the  presence of unauthorized person(s),fire or injured employees
    • Answers alarms and investigate disturbances
    • Patrols and monitors the premises to prevent and detect signs of unauthorized intrusion, theft or damage to or of company property
    • Operates detecting devices; such as metal detectors and X ray machines to screen individuals and properly to prevent the passage of prohibited articles into and out of restricted areas
    • Follow company policies and procedures at all times
    • Adhere to company attendance policy and maintain adequate attendance per applicable department standard
    • Must conduct themselves in a professional, friendly, positive and supportive manner at all times
    • Performs other duties as assigned



    • High School diploma required


    • 5+ years’ experience in the law enforcement, military or security related field required
    • Detailed observation skill and quick response in making the right decision, following protocols
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Computer Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft office and the ability to work with and be taught security and loss prevention style software

    Certificates & Licenses: 

    • Active or retired Oklahoma Peace Officer Commission
    • Must have C.L.E.E.T. Armed Security License
