    About The Role

    The Specialty Account Manager provides high-quality information regarding investing in precious metals to Company customers. Specialty Account Managers develop and maintain their own book of business by developing relationships initiated by APMEX customers and by gaining referrals from their customer base. A Specialty Account Manager  educates and informs APMEX customers  in making the most informed decision to include precious metals  in their portfolios. A Specialty Account Manager works closely with their customers to effectively communicate the importance of allocating assets between four asset classes to insure a balanced portfolio. 

     

     A Day in the Life of a Specialty Account Manager:

    • Answer inbound Sales calls and provide education on various product lines that are suitable for the clients investment goals
    • Answer Inbound Retail Purchasing calls to assist the client with the items they’re looking to liquidate
    • A Specialty Account Manager will create a book of business over time they’ll be responsible for managing and developing
    • They will strive to produce referrals from their customer base
    • Specialty Account Managers will be up to date and well informed of the news and events that affect the precious metals markets. They will keep their customers informed as well
    • Assist assigned customers with any function associated with the acquisition or delivery of Precious Metals
    • Place outbound calls as required to follow-up on potential transactions
    • Respond to Retail Purchasing email quotes
    • Develop their product knowledge to make informed educated decisions
    • Attend training on a regular basis to grow their knowledge on the Precious Metals industry

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field required

    Experience: 

    • 1 or more years of professional sales experience

    Computer Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

    Other Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of financial products (insurance, securities, mortgages, etc.), preferably investments
    • Interest in and knowledge of precious metals
